- Knowledge of current Legislation, Technical Standards & Specifications, Codes of Practice and Recommendations relating to the design of Electrical Distribution Systems of DNOs and the requirements for the technical records.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, including LV, HV and EHV.
- Proficiency in using industry standard software tools, such as ETAP, AutoCAD, DigSilent Powerfactory or CDEGS.
- Knowledge of NGESO Grid Code Compliance studies and requirements, as well as knowledge of G99/G100 studies.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
- Planning and design of electrical networks and electrical connections, including cable routing, switchgear layouts, protection schemes, earthing arrangements and equipment selection in compliance with relevant standards and regulations from LV up to 132kV.
- Liaise with DNOs and other connection providers on point of connection and adoption of assets.
- Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle, including feasibility assessment and risk management.
