Project Manager - Regulatory Change & Pensions
6-month contract | Must be UK-based | Up to £500 Outside IR35 | October 2026 start
Location: UK-based, with occasional travel to North West England
Reporting to: Programme Manager

A leading UK organisation is looking for an experienced Project Manager to support a fast-paced programme of regulatory and pensions change.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can quickly understand a complex environment, build relationships with stakeholders and pick up projects and run with them.

As the Project Manager you'll lead projects across the change portfolio, covering:
  • Regulatory and pensions administration change
  • Business and system requirements
  • Process analysis, design and improvement
  • Testing, implementation and business readiness
  • Project planning, governance, budgets, risks and dependencies
  • Senior stakeholder and supplier management
  • Business/IT requirements and system change
  • MI, reporting and project documentation
You’ll need to be comfortable managing challenging stakeholders, working at pace and making decisions to keep delivery on track.

We’re looking for a proactive, personable and delivery-focused Project Manager with:
  • 3–5+ years' Project Management experience
  • Strong experience delivering change within a regulated environment
  • Experience with regulatory change, ideally within financial services
  • Pensions experience is highly desirable
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience managing risks, issues, budgets and change control
  • Experience leading matrix teams and external suppliers
  • A structured approach with the ability to work independently and at pace
  • PRINCE2, Agile or similar project management experience
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who is hands-on, close to the detail and able to build strong relationships, including with challenging stakeholders.
