Business Improvement & Technology Director – Manchester - £105K + 20% bonus

HYBRID – 2/3 days a week on site per week

Maxwell Bond have been engaged by one of our top clients to help search for an established Business Improvement & Technology Director to join their team. We have up to £105,000 available for this vacancy alongside excellent benefits including 20% bonus, £8,200 car allowance, 30 days holiday, private medical etc.

What’s the role about?

As the Business Improvement & Technology Director, you’ll have your hands in everything from leading big change projects to tightening up policies, processes, and compliance. You’ll work closely with senior leaders to make sure the business runs like clockwork while embracing opportunities to innovate and improve.

Main responsibilities include:

Leading Projects: Taking charge of major initiatives, keeping them on track, and making sure they deliver real value.
Driving Change: Working with teams to spot what’s not working, fix it, and make things run more smoothly.
Staying on Top of Governance: Keeping policies sharp, ensuring risks are managed, and making sure everything’s ticking along with compliance in mind.
Tech-Savvy Leadership: Overseeing the tech side of things—modernising systems, enhancing security, and supporting the team to deliver top-notch service.
Collaborating: Building strong relationships with teams, leaders, and external partners, making sure everyone’s in the loop and pulling in the same direction.

What we’re looking for:

We’re after someone who’s a natural leader, big on collaboration, and able to think strategically while getting stuck into the detail when needed. Ideally, you’ll bring:
  • Solid experience leading change and improvement projects in fast-paced, multi-site environments.
  • A strong handle on governance, compliance, and risk management (bonus points if you’ve worked in audits).
  • Great communication and people skills—you’re comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and energising teams (ESSENTIAL)
  • Experience with IT transformation projects or modernising operations is a real plus.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach with the drive to make things happen.


Qualifications that’ll help you stand out:

A degree in a relevant field.
Any certifications in project management (e.g., PRINCE2), process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma), or risk management are great to have.
